How do I assemble my Silentnight bed?

If you are buying from us, there's no need to worry as assembling your Silentnight bed is all part of the service, unless otherwise stated.

How do I assemble my Silentnight divan bed?

Your Silentnight divan bed is reasonably easy to assemble. Follow our simple instructions and you won’t go wrong whether you are putting together a divan base with drawers or without.

Start by pushing the castors into the corner sockets. Gently tap with a wooden mallet until fully home. Do not use a metal hammer as this is likely to cause damage. If your bed has legs, these will need to be screwed in tightly.
In the case of a double, king size or super king size bed, you will need to join the 2 divan bases.
Using U clips, stand the bases on their sides. The U clips will need to be fitted across the central timber bars. Press firmly to connect.
Carefully turn bed back onto its castors and place your Silentnight mattress on top.

How do I assemble my Silentnight ottoman bed?

Although Silentnight ottoman beds are straight forward to assemble, they do require a little work more than a divan bed. Follow our instructions and it should be easy enough.

Stand the ottoman bed on its side and fit the glides / castors.
To connect the bases, carefully position them so they are standing on their glides / castors with lids open. Position the bases together.
There are two drilled holes on the inner side of each base. Pierce the fabric and using the male & female connectors, join the bases.
There is a spacer that sits between the divans to allow for any irregularity in the floor. Slotting the bolts through this can be fiddly. And don’t forget to use a metal washer with each connector.
To connect the lid, you will need another male & female bolt and two washers. There’s a ‘pierce here’ label at the foot end of the ottoman lid. Pierce the fabric and screw the connectors together.
Lower the lid and your Silentnight mattress can now be placed on the ottoman base.

How do I assemble my Silentnight half ottoman bed?

Although Silentnight half ottoman beds are straight forward to assemble, they do require a little work more than a divan bed. Follow our instructions and it should be easy enough.

Stand the ottoman base on its side and fit the castors / glides.
Repeat for the other half.
To join the two half bases, bring them together and position the metal clips in the recess of the black undercover. These are then screwed in place to hold firm.

How do I fit my Silentnight headboard?

Having identified the head end, locate the pre-drilled holes underneath the stickers and pierce the fabric there.
Partially screw the headboard bolts into the back of the bed leaving enough space to fit the struts.
Lower the headboard into position tighten bolts firmly. There are 5 positions which you can adjust your Silentnight headboard to choose from.

Having identified the head end, locate the pre-drilled holes underneath the stickers and pierce the fabric there.
You will also need to pierce the fabric on the headboard where the bolts will go through.
Position the headboard and attach by threading the bolt through the hole in the headboard and into the socket in the base. Tighten firmly.
