Home Delivery by Supplier

In most cases, Big Brand Beds will appoint a supplier to carry out a direct home delivery on our behalf. This speeds up the delivery process to our customers and lessens the chance of damage to the products whilst in transit. All the delivery services offered by our suppliers are limited to UK Mainland only.

General Delivery Information for goods being delivered by Big Brand Beds

This information applies to goods being delivered by Big Brand Beds. For goods being delivered direct to home by one of our suppliers, please see above.

  • A member of our Customer Services department will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date
  • We will contact the customer at least 48 hours prior to delivery. The customer will then be given an am/pm window, and then as guidance only a 3-4 hour time slot.
  • The delivery will be carried out by 2 men, who will endeavour to deliver the goods to the room of your choice
  • Our delivery service operates on a full rota delivery system whereby we operate in the same areas on the same day every week. 
  • All customers will be contacted on 3 separate occasions. If we can still not make contact after the third attempt we will await response from the customer. 
  • We will make 1 attempted delivery. If the customer is not present at the confirmed time of delivery the driver will leave a “we called card” stating time and date and drivers name. It will also ask the customer to contact us to re-arrange delivery. This delivery will not be re-planned until the customer has contacted us. If the customer fails a 2nd confirmed delivery, a Surcharge will be applied direct to the customer.
  • Once all the items are positioned in the appropriate place the delivery team will then ask the customer to sign for the item(s).
  • If the item is found to be damaged upon inspection the customer is to inform bigbrandbeds to seek further instruction. 

Room of Choice and Suitable Access

  • It is the customers responsibilty to ensure that there is adequate space in their home to receive the delivery.
  • The delivery will be carried out by 2 men, who will endeavour to deliver the goods to the room of your choice
  • All room of choice deliveries will be subject to a site survey by the delivery team who will assess whether it is possible to place the item in the customer’s room of choice.
  • If the delivery team deems it possible to place the item in the room of choice then the customer is required to read the Network 4 disclaimer and will be required to sign to confirm they understand its content. If the customer is unhappy to sign the disclaimer, all deliveries will be to the doorstep only.
  • If in the event that after the site survey the delivery team deems it unsafe or considers that they would be unable to place the item in the customer’s room of choice, the delivery team would ask the customer for an alternative room to place the product.
  • In the event we are unable to place the product in any room of choice then the item will be left in the safest possible location that the customer is happy with.

Delivery Enquiries

  • For any queries regarding delivery please send an enquiry to our Customer Service team or telephone us on 01273 857388 anytime between 10.00am – 4.30pm Monday to Saturday quoting your reference number as indicated on your delivery advice letter
  • Most orders will be received into our warehouse within 15-20 working days. Occasionally, this lead-time might be altered due to annual holiday. However you will be notified if this is the case

Assembly of Beds

  •  Assembly applies to divan and mattress sets only. We will unwrap and assemble your new bed in the room of your choice (subject to access) and remove all the rubbish.
  • Please note that we do not assemble bed frames or bedsteads.

Removal of Old Bed or Mattress

  • In some cases we can arrange for the removal of old beds and mattresses. If this service is available, details can be found at the foot of the product page. In most cases there is a charge per bed or mattress for this service.

Delivery Area

We are busy trying to offer FREE delivery on most products to most mainland UK addresses when we use our delivery service. This applies to divan beds, mattresses, headboards, furniture etc. However in some cases we have to make a small charge if the order is under £399. Orders for bedding, linens, quilts pillows etc are Free on orders over £100. each product has details of the delivery status.

There will be a surcharge if there is a service available.

There is a surcharge for deliveries to Scotland and some areas of Wales & Cornwall. We will always email you if you have placed an order to let you know of any additional cost. This applies to AB (Aberdeen area),  IV (Inverness area), KW (Kirkwall area), LD (Llandrindod Wells area), PA (Paisley area) & PH (Perth area), SA 31-99 (Swansea area) & TR (Truro area). It may also apply to other areas of Scotland if we are using a suppliers direct home delivery service.
